The Sanctuary Pub

The best pub in Iowa to sample world class beers. There are enough interesting beers on the menu to keep even us brewmasters entertained! Old Capitol Brew Works

Old Capitol is the new brewpub in Iowa City, located on Gilbert Street. Brewer Paul Krutzfeldt is real personable guy, and makes some very fine brews. They are our like our next door neighbors, and we love their beer and food! Highly recommended and visited by all of the Millstream Crew.

Lift The Limit

Read up on Iowa's restrictive and unfair Beer law's. If these laws were changed, we could make a larger variety of more interesting beers. From Belgain Trippels, to German Eisbocks, to American Barleywines.. All of these beers are denied to us. The reasoning is that these beers might get people drunk to quickly... which is really a poor line of reasoning. Lift the Limit!!

This a is a coalition of wineries and breweries in Iowa. This site has a great map to show you were to go to see the various wineries in Iowa. Currently we are the only brewer who is a member, but hopefully that will change! You can be sure that when you buy a "Taste of Iowa" labeled product, that you are buying hand crafted, locally made products. Support your local wineries and make Iowa a destination for others!

The Siebel Institute

The Siebel Institute of Brewing Technology is one of the world's leading brewery schools. They have been teaching beer science in Chicago since 1868, and now are partnered with the famous Doemens School in Germany. Chris has finished the Diploma Course, and Aaron has taken the Microbrewer's Prep Course. We only wish we could back to school!

3rd Base Brewing Co - Travis is making some good beer, you shouldn't pass up this little pub on Blairs Ferry Rd.

Bent River Brewing - Located in Moline, IL, they make great beer and I wish they would move to Iowa so we could claim them as one of our own!

Blue Cat Brewpub - Located in Rock Island, IL, I wish the same as above, but I know that Dan & Bernie would never ever even consider it!

Old Capitol Brew Works - Downtown Iowa City, this brewpub was formerly known as Fitzpatricks. Don't let the name fool you, they are under new ownership and are making great beer now !
